Fellow Scholarship Grant
Purpose of the Fellow Scholarship Grant – The purpose of the scholarship is to provide opportunities to learn more about ASRT governance; service to external medical imaging/radiation therapy and health organizations and association Boards; access to postsecondary education; access to additional certification; development of medical imaging or radiation therapy accessories, instruments, or teaching aids; medical imaging or radiation therapy global humanitarian service; medical imaging or radiation therapy advocacy or health policy; affiliate, national or international lecturer or poster presenter; authoring or contributing to scholarly articles or textbooks; and conducting original research.
Please upload the following documents in addition to the completed ASRT Fellow Scholarship Grant application:
1. ASRT Professional Activity Profile to verify you are a current member and have been an ASRT member for a minimum of the past 5 consecutive years.
2. An official letter from your ASRT-recognized affiliate to verify you are a current member and have been a member of an ASRT-recognized affiliate for a minimum of the past 5 consecutive years.
3. A recommendation letter from your ASRT Fellow sponsor attesting to your activities in the following areas:
a. Your joint review of the current Fellow application, your progress in completing the application and collecting the necessary documentation.
b. Leadership through your service to an ASRT-recognized affiliate and ASRT.
c. Advocacy activities to support the advancement of the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession through your service to an ASRT-recognized affiliate and ASRT.
d. Advancement in your personal professional growth and in the achievement of your career goals.

Fellow Purpose – Fellow is an honorary designation representing a significant breadth and depth of contribution to the ASRT and the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession. A Fellow is an exemplary leader who has consistently served, advocated for and supported advancement of the profession.
Fellow Expectations – Fellows are expected to function as a role model and mentor to other professionals and encourage them to expand their involvement with the ASRT and the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession. In that role, they also are expected to inspire, promote and demonstrate a strong work ethic that includes continuous advocacy, personal growth and achievement of career goals. Lastly, Fellows are expected to acknowledge other outstanding medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals who support the ASRT and the profession by sponsoring these individuals who apply for inclusion in the elite group called Fellows.
Please note – The ASRT Fellow Scholarship Grant is designed to help offset the costs of achieving accomplishments in a member’s journey to Fellow status. Individuals that have already completed a Fellow application are not eligible to apply.
